She's done !!

This is Arezzo designed by Nora Corbett.
I stitched her on 28 count lugana that I dyed myself. She's so pretty and delicate, I just love looking at her:)

So this ended up being just like last year. No finishes until halfway through the year, but then several in a row. I find it's important to have finishes from time to time. It helps me keep my motivation up, especially for the long projects. So now I have Fruit and Arezzo, it's very gratifying. I don't think there will be anymore for a while though, nothing else is that close to completion. The closest would probably be Mira's The Kiss and Este Titania, which are both about halfway. I do also have Chatelaine Hummingbird done except for some beading. Hmmm.

So the problem is when I have a finish or two my mind starts turning to new starts....

  3. Gorgeous! Mind turning or not you deserve a start. I always feel like a start after a finish of a particularly large project (mind the indecision of what normally forces me back to the wips)

  4. She's stunning! Beautiful stitching!
I always tell myself that I'm not going to start something new after a finish, get the old WIP pile down, but it just seems wrong not to celebrate with a new start:)

  6. She is beautiful, this is such a great design, a little bit different to the larger Nora's.

I think you should bead the Chatelaine, I love seeing photos of other people's Chatelaines to inspire me to start one!

  9. So pretty! I love how she turned out. And I know what you mean about needing a finish to keep up motivation... so many of my projects are huge and sometimes I need to do something small. It's like the finish gives a little boost. :)
