I stitched her on 28 count lugana that I dyed myself. She's so pretty and delicate, I just love looking at her:)
So this ended up being just like last year. No finishes until halfway through the year, but then several in a row. I find it's important to have finishes from time to time. It helps me keep my motivation up, especially for the long projects. So now I have Fruit and Arezzo, it's very gratifying. I don't think there will be anymore for a while though, nothing else is that close to completion. The closest would probably be Mira's The Kiss and Este Titania, which are both about halfway. I do also have Chatelaine Hummingbird done except for some beading. Hmmm.
So the problem is when I have a finish or two my mind starts turning to new starts....
That is so pretty!!!!
ReplyDeleteCongrats! She's so pretty!

Greetings from far far away!

Gorgeous! Mind turning or not you deserve a start. I always feel like a start after a finish of a particularly large project (mind the indecision of what normally forces me back to the wips)
ReplyDeleteShe's stunning! Beautiful stitching!
ReplyDeleteI always tell myself that I'm not going to start something new after a finish, get the old WIP pile down, but it just seems wrong not to celebrate with a new start:)
Just beautiful! Go ahead and start something new. That is part of stitching.
ReplyDeleteShe is beautiful, this is such a great design, a little bit different to the larger Nora's.
ReplyDeleteI think you should bead the Chatelaine, I love seeing photos of other people's Chatelaines to inspire me to start one!
Done and really adorable !!! I love her !!
ReplyDeleteMany congratulations Ana on such a pretty stitchng :)
Have a lovely week,
Isa
Arezzo's beautiful! I can't believe you dyed the lugana yourself! Amazing :) What did you use to dye it with?
ReplyDeleteMelissa I just used RIT dye:)
DeleteSo pretty! I love how she turned out. And I know what you mean about needing a finish to keep up motivation... so many of my projects are huge and sometimes I need to do something small. It's like the finish gives a little boost. :)
ReplyDeleteCongratulations on a beautiful finish :)
ReplyDeleteI absolutely love this design.... She is just adorable :)
Looking forward to seeing your next new start!!
Hugs x
