Back to Madame & Nora's Alphabet framed

Well now that I finished Biondina, I'm back to working on Madame. This is a Golden Kite pattern, and I'm stitching it on  18 count, full cross. After stitching Biondina in tent stitch, full cross sure does seem slow...
This is 11 pages done.
I also framed up Nora's Alphabet.

Biondina framed:)

I am so happy with how she came out! I don't usually use mats when I frame my finished pieces, so I was a bit concerned when I went to pick her up at Michaels. She's double matted and the top mat is velvet. I love how the inner mat and frame have red in them that go so well with the red in the picture. Love her!

Elizabeth and the Lavender Sky

She such a relaxing stitch, it's going along very smoothly. No beads or treasure braid. She's really fun :))

Happy Dance! Mirabilia Silver Moon Tea

After almost half a year with no finishes, I've now enjoyed several in a row:)
Silver Moon Tea was an absolute joy to stitch with her bright colors and plentiful beads. No too difficult either!  I'm going to eventually stitch Golden Apple Girl to go with her.

Chatelaine Herbarium ~ small finish

I started this large Chatelaine when the class first started, a couple years ago. I sort of fell out of love with it as it went in. I didn't love plants around it and the columns. So it languished in my project closet, until I decided to just finish it as it was! I love the intense colors and beadwork of the center, this is often the most beautiful part of Martina's designs.
I'm relieved to have it out of the closet and on my wall:D
I framed it myself today!

BIONDINA is done!!!! Happy Dance!!

Woohoo!! Can't believe she's done! I'm so happy with how she turned out:)
Here are the stats:
Golden Kite pattern: Biondina (detail)
I stitched 25 pages of this pattern.
She is stitched on 25 count fabric, 2 threads, tent stitch.
This is the first project I've completed in tent stitch. I'm still not sure my ultimate verdict on tent stitch, as compared to full cross stitch. It's definitely faster, especially for background stitching. The coverage is not quite as good when stitching the darker colors, but after washing and ironing it looks pretty good. I did get bogged down sometimes in high confetti areas, it was a bit harder to keep track than on my usual 18 count. But doable! I would use tent again.

Thanks for looking!

Nora Corbett Alphabet done

This is a hard to find alphabet sampler, designed by Nora Corbett of Mirabilia. It's a pretty quick stitch. I used a self-dyed piece of 28 count Monaco, in soft shades  of lavender and blue.
